Man stood at foot of mountain

Peru’s Ministry of Employment and Employment Promotion signed an agreement with the Inkaterra Association, which has been supporting tourism and ecotourism in Peru over the last 30 years, to promote employment in biotrade and ecotourism in the country, with PAGE support. The agreement will focus on building the capacity of the working-age population, reduce informal labour and poverty as well as improve local living standards.

Also in Peru, on 17 June, Peru’s Ministry of Industry and PAGE hosted a validation workshop for Peru’s green industry assessment. The study analyses the potential for the development of green industries in the country and indicates opportunities to create them. Feedback and comments shared by the participants of the validation workshop will be taken into consideration to finalize the document.

For more information on these events in Peru, please feel free to contact Dorit Kemter (ILO) or Ronal Gainza-Carmenates (UNEP).
