Financing Sustainable Food Systems for SDG Acceleration

This webinar, organized by DCO, PAGE and the Food Systems Hub, will provide a platform for international experts and UNRCO economists and partnerships officers to discuss how finance and investments in food systems can accelerate progress towards the SDGs, and the specific ways in which RCOs and UNCTs can support host governments and other stakeholders to unlock financing for food systems transformation in the context of the UNFSS+4. The session will also contribute to the visibility of the PAGE global campaign on repurposing agricultural subsidies to accelerate climate and nature actions while promoting inclusive, sustainable, and resilient food systems.

The 90-minute session will feature a panel discussion with experts offering varied perspectives on financing food systems, including agricultural subsidy reform for SDG acceleration. Following the panel, participants will engage in breakout discussions, led by UNRCO economists. These smaller conversations will allow attendees to share challenges, practical experiences, and policy solutions relevant to their local contexts.
