UNEP ED Inger Andersen shakes hands with minister of environment of the Republic of Korea.

On Friday 1 September, H.E. Minister of Environment of the Republic of Korea Han Wha-Jin and UNEP Executive Director Inger Anderson signed an agreement to further deepen collaboration on green economy through PAGE. By extending its support to PAGE, the Republic of Korea enables countries to transform their economies into drivers of sustainability.

Pleasure meeting with Minister Han Wha-Jin. We appreciate the Republic of Korea’s longstanding partnership & leadership on advancing action on pollution, nature loss and climate change. Grateful to Republic of Korea for PAGE support”, said Andersen in her X account (formerly Twitter).

Inger Andersen was in Seoul for the Korea Global Adaptation Week from Aug. 28 to Sept. 1, during which international participants shared and promoted actions and practices to adapt to the climate crisis.
