PAGE National Coordinator, Manisha Chaudhary chaired the panel discussion on “Challenges and Solutions for Green GDP Accounting and Framework” alongside panelists from the National Stock Exchange (NSE), Centre for Policy Research (CPR), India and World Resource Institute (WRI).
The discussion underscored the need for incentive mechanisms, accessible data, market drivers, and enabling policies like Sustainable Public Procurement and Ecolabeling to drive this essential transition towards sustainable and inclusive economic growth, and to achieve the targets for Sustainable Development.
PAGE emphasised the critical need for transitioning towards an Inclusive Green Economy and highlighted the pivotal role of industry stakeholders in advancing the transition, especially in strategic sectors like building and construction, mobility, textiles, plastic and food sectors. These sectors have immense potential to mitigate carbon and environmental footprints.
The event brought together representatives from the NITI Aayog (Government of India), Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI), and other industry stakeholders.
