The main objective of this study is to provide an overview of the challenges and contributions related to artisanal gold mining exploitation (EAO) and its coexistence with the agricultural sector in Burkina Faso. The ambition is to guide national and international and international decisions on the country’s future development programs and to insist on concerted and integrated approaches that take into account social, economic, political and institutional problems of the agricultural sector, economic, political and institutional issues and those of the promotion of agricultural production, with the aim of facilitating the the objective of facilitating the integration of these two pillars of the national economy. The study suggests avenues for reflection and recommendations for public policies to better integrate (EAO) into sustainable and inclusive development efforts.
