2ND GLOBAL FORUM ON GREEN ECONOMY LEARNING

26-27 November 2018

OECD Conference Center, Paris, France

GREEN ECONOMY: NEW CHALLENGES, NEW SKILLS

Forum for institutions that train professionals involved in policy design and implementation

Jointly organized by the Partnership for Action on Green Economy (PAGE), the Green Growth Knowledge Platform (GGKP), the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI)Environment for Development (EfD) and the Green Economy Coalition (GEC)

The 2nd Global Forum on Green Economy Learning will discuss the important role of knowledge and skills in designing inclusive green economy solutions. It will be held in conjunction with the Sixth GGKP Annual Conference and the 2018 OECD Green Growth and Sustainable Development (GGSD) Forum, 27-29 November 2018 at the OECD Conference Center in Paris. Together, the three events are aiming to address the political economy of green and low-carbon policy reforms, identify their distributional impacts, and explore inclusive solutions for households, workers, sectors and regions to help them contribute to a greener future.

The Learning Forum aims to address one of the key questions for advancing a green economy: How can countries build up a critical mass of professionals that:

  • Understand the risks and opportunities of a transition to an inclusive green economy
  • Have the knowledge and skills to put in place the right policies and incentives to address identified risks

The Forum will focus on the issue of learning and skills development for current and future decision-makers, technical staff in Ministries and others involved in policy design and implementation.

Registration starts on 28 September 2018. Participation in the event is free-of-charge, however, only a limited number of slots are available. Please note that we are not in a position to cover travel or accommodation costs for participants.
